Our politicians keep on killing our economy, but I still believe that we deserve the politician we voted.
Corruption is not the only problem. Now even pigs and dogs understand that this is not a temporary crisis, we are experiencing a lot of changes.
The stupid leaders still believe our economy will take off again and will allow them to keep on filling their big stomachs.
Hava a look at the measures the decided... What a shame.
You have an advantage in UK.
It's not easy to hypnotize british citizen with a football club membership and the last model of Iphone.
Italians will vote again the same people, dressed up with some other colors.
Many other countries will overtake us with their growing economies, will'be poorer and poorer.
I stopped thinking about my country, I just try to be the more international I can. We will not able to change and our systemm will collapse.
Glad to read you from time to time.
Keep on posting.
Ciao
Riccardo
IZ5VVAriccardohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09770867173321047177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-513554479106327392.post-34476171304372687682011-08-13T04:42:43.363+01:002011-08-13T04:42:43.363+01:00Julian, regardless of the actions of your politici...Julian, regardless of the actions of your politicians such behavior doesn't constitute justification of what's been going on in London. To perform an "if this, then that" comparative analysis blames the former (politicians) and excuses the latter (rioters).

One of your countrymen articulates this far better than I can:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pAC0YSmK0g

John AE5XAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-513554479106327392.post-65903640755031688432011-08-13T00:24:51.451+01:002011-08-13T00:24:51.451+01:00Hey, Roger, as a US citizen I can give you one exa...Hey, Roger, as a US citizen I can give you one example where it did work, hi hi!

It all comes down to politics=power => lots of money changing hands. I was under the impression that England had limited the amount of money that politicians can receive for campaigns, at least compared to the U.S., but perhaps I'm way wrong on that. Here, with the recent Citizens United ruling by our Supreme Court all the taps are wide open as never before.

I hope the violence abates soon Julian for everyone's sake. You are exactly right that non-responsive of the officials to the needs of their constituents is at the root of this outbreak.Casey Bahrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01638230726171327005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-513554479106327392.post-51597599095677808602011-08-11T20:08:11.591+01:002011-08-11T20:08:11.591+01:00Mostly 100% agree Julian. Change can come by small positive steps being taken by individuals peacefully working towards a more just country and world within the system we have. Although not a Quaker I feel their approach is an excellent example. The alternative is violent revolution and history shows this never works.Roger G3XBMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13673890140751539870noreply@blogger.com
